Janet Kester, LMSW, has been a professional organizer in Michigan for over twelve years, and a licensed clinical therapist for five. Janet specializes in working with clients who struggle with chronic disorganization, hoarding difficulties, OCD, ADD/ADHD, and anxiety/depression disorders. Janet believes that organized people are less stressed and genuinely happier. She applies unique and individualized organizational techniques that fit each client’s personal situation. Janet’s ability reaches across socio-economic boundaries as she has taught organization skills to doctors, lawyers, and corporate executives, as well as homemakers and college students. Janet is degreed in Business Administration with a focus on Information and Records Management; she also holds a Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on Clinical Counseling and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). By coupling her professional organizing skills with clinical skills, Janet is not only able to organize her clients’ homes and offices, but also work with their personalities, attitudes, thoughts and behavior in order to identify permanent solutions to their problems. Janet works with clients on-site in their homes or businesses throughout southeast Michigan, as well as treats clients in her own private clinical practice located in Livonia, Michigan.
